Kolkata : A number of express trains and passenger trains would remain cancelled or diverted from May 25 to May 27 in the Kharagpur-Bhadrak section of South Eastern Railway for repair of a 116-year old bridge. Replacement of steel girders of the bridge between Jaleswar and Amarda Road stations would ensure safety and increase the speed of trains over it from 20 km per hour to 100 kmph, South Eastern Railway sources said today. During the period, among others, Puri-Howrah-Puri Duronto Express, Bhubaneswar-Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express would remain cancelled. The New Delhi-Puri-New Delhi Purshottam Express and Haridwar-Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express would be diverted via Jaroli and Angul respectively.
