A senior motorman of South Eastern Railway, Shri Bhubaneswar Ganguly has shown some heart-warming gesture when he observed that a bag fell from 18615 Howrah – Hatiya Krya Yoga Express passing Tikiapara station. At that moment Mr. Ganguly was at Tikiapara station with his Howrah-Mecheda EMU local. Once he got the signal to start the train from the station he started the train and then stopped his local at the spot, recovered the bag and handed it over to guard Sri D.K.Samanta who further handed it to appropriate railway authorities. RPF personnel were arranged at Mecheda for collecting the bag and handing over the same to the lawful owner. The bag contained 63950 rupees, Voter and PAN Cards, a Mobile Phone, Wrist Watch, Aadhaar, Driving Licence, School Certificate, Train Ticket and some miscellaneous items. The lawful owner expressed his gratitude to railway. | ||
