Railway police arrested a head constable of Nizamabad district for trying to manhandle Secunderabad railway inspector.

Jaya Reddy, head constable with the Central Crime Station (CCS) police was remanded in judicial custody on Monday. Reddy's wife Padmaja managed the parking area near the Secunderabad Railway SP's office. On Friday last, Secunderabad GRP inspector Anjaneyulu reprimanded Padmaja for attempting to encroach into the police parking lot, adjacent to the parking area managed by her.

Padmaja told her husband about the incident after Jaya Reddy had come to the city on Saturday on a Ganesha immersion bandobust duty. Jaya Reddy then went to the police station at the Secunderabad railway station and picked up an argument with inspector Anjaneyulu. In a fit of rage, the head constable tried to manhandle the inspector. However, other police personnel took Reddy into custody.

Based on a complaint lodged by the inspector, a case was registered against Reddy.
