Government of the day has awarded the police medal for meritorious service to CBI officer Gyanenndra Kumar Verma who unearthed “cash-for-promotion” scam in railways under UPA regime that led to resignation of then minister Pawan Bansal Gyanendra Kumar Verma, an IPS officer of the 2001 batch currently posted as DIG in the CBI Headquarter, was also instrumental in unearthing the Syndicate Bank CMD case, SSC recruitment scam, procurement scam in CRPF and BSF and other irregularities. | ||
