An anonymous call threatening that bombs would explode at three places here kept the personnel of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) of the city police on their toes on Sunday. Police sources said the anonymous call came to the police control room around 8.50 a.m. and the caller threatened that bombs would explode at central bus stand, Chathram bus stand and Tiruchi Railway Junction and disconnected the call.The information was immediately conveyed to the police higher-ups, who in turn alerted the BDDS. Armed with necessary paraphernalia, the BDDS team launched the anti-sabotage mission starting with the central bus stand. | ||
