The railway police have decided to take necessary precautionary measures to shift bodies found on the tracks, to mortuaries.This decision was taken after a severed head that was found abandoned on the road at Padmaraonagar triggered panic among road users last Sunday.A rickshaw-puller was shifting the body of a physically-challenged person from Secunderabad railway station to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary when the severed head slipped from the rickshaw and fell on the main road.Without noticing it, the rickshaw puller went to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary and realised that the head was missing. With the help of police, he started searching when they found the severed head at Padmaraonagar.The physically-challenged person committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at the parcel office in Secunderabad station.On Saturday too, panic gripped the residents of Khairatabad when an auto-trolley driver was shifting two bodies covered with a cloth.“We have decided to take precautionary measures such as packing the bodies with cloth to shift them in a vehicle carefully to mortuaries at the Gandhi or Osmania General Hospitals,” said Nampally Inspector G. Lingeswar Rao.
