New Delhi : The BJP has blamed the Delhi government and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for the deterioration of the law and order in the city following the purported discovery of the remains of Akbarabadi mosque at Subhash Park."Had they understood the gravity and sensitiveness of the case in time and arranged sufficient police force immediately, the law and order situation would not have deteriorated," said Delhi unit chief of the BJP Vijender Gupta .The Delhi High Court on July 20 directed the Delhi police and the government to cordon off the disputed site and take its possession within two hours of the order. Had the government and the police implemented the order immediately, no violence would have taken place, Gupta alleged. The police took possession of the disputed site on Saturday morning.The party has appealed to the people to maintain peace till the court takes a decision.
