MUMBAI: Big FM has initiated a social campaign in partnership with Western Railways and Humanitarian Welfare & Research Foundation to create awareness about safe railway travel, highlighting the issues of rooftop travel and track crossing amongst commuters.Titled 'Safety Manao Life Banao', the campaign will see RJ Ankit hosting the breakfast show from a mobile radio studio at Dadar station from 7-11am every morning, until he gets a minimum of 9270 volunteers to support the cause and spread awareness.The show will feature interviews with the authorities highlighting the challenges they face and with passengers to intrigue the reason behind these mishaps. Commuters who have survived accidents or those who have lost someone in an accident can also share their stories. A host of celebrities will also visit the mobile studio as a mark of support and encouragement to the campaign.Commenting on the campaign, 92.7 Big FM spokesperson said, "As a responsible media brand that reflects the city’s passions and emotions, we believe the use of our medium - radio - which boasts of being a live medium, local and highly engaging we found this cause most be-fitting. The campaign has been conceptualized to highlight the staggering number of accidents and dangers that commuters call on themselves."

Extending the initiative to social media, RJ Ankit will get aerial pictures of commuters endangering their lives, which will be posted on social media networks. The initiative is an extension of the network’s campaign 'Mumbai Manao Life Banao'.  The NGO Humanitarian Welfare & Research Foundation specializes in supporting tragedy stuck areas, assisting less fortunate people, conducting multiple awareness drives and providing medical aid to emergency areas.
