A Sikh jatha, which visited Pakistan to observe the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, returned to the country in a special train from Lahore. Talking to the mediapersons at Attari railway station, Jatha head Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal said the event was observed at Gurdwara Dehra Sahib in Lahore in the presence of Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Chaudhary Mohammad Riaz. He said they had brought the shortcomings in the management of gurdwaras in Pakistan to the notice of the authorities there. He expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for their stay. Deputy leader of the jatha Santa Singh Umaidpuri said there was a shortage of 'granthis' in Pakstan. |
