Additional Divisional Railway Manager S. Subba Rao on Monday administered a pledge to “promote peace and social harmony” to officers and staff at the divisional office as part of the Anti-Terrorism Day. The day is observed with the objective of weaning the youth away from the clutches of terrorism and violence. The Pledge read: “We, the people of India, having abiding faith in our country's tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values”. Senior Divisional Personnel Officer P. Srinivasulu, Chief Medical Superintendent A.K. Bhatnagar, Senior Divisional Engineer (co-ordination) A.K. Sinha, Senior Divisional Finance Manager C. Srinivasa Rao, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager S. Ramesh Babu, and others attended the meeting. |
