The Railways have once again made comprehensive arrangements for creating awareness towards the pulse polio campaign.The Bhopal railway division has made arrangements to play an active role in the pulse polio campaign from April 15 to April 17.The Bhopal division has arranged for administering the polio drops in trains and all the major railway stations of the division. The circle has established 52 pulse polio booths for this purpose.Chief medical inspector KK Tiwari informed that polio drops will be administered by mobile teams of the railways on trains going towards Bina like Jhelum Express, Punjab Mail, Chhattisgarh Express, Somnath Express and in the trains towards Itarsi like Karnataka Express and Kamayani express and in Malwa express going towards Ujjain.Along with these trains, drops will be administered by pulse polio teams on all railway platforms of stations like Bhopal, Ganjbasoda, Bina and Guna.Drops will also be administered to children of all the employees of railways residing on railway stations and for commoners living near stations six passenger trains like Bhopal-Bina passenger, Bina-Kota passenger, Jhansi-Itarsi passenger, Katni-Bhusawal passenger, Bina-Kota passenger, Kota-Bhind passenger and Bina-Nagda passenger have been allotted to administer polio drops.The medical department of the Bhopal Railway division has arranged for administration of polio drops to every child under the age of 5-years who are either living at railway stations and anywhere near them or travelling in trains.The Bhopal division has appealed the passengers to support the cause and cooperate with the polio teams. |
