With more than 13000 passenger trains, covering more than 63000 kms every day with 23 million passengers on board, PayTM is keen to auction ad space on Indian Passenger trains. PayTM has already submitted a 10-year technical bid for 23 trains in central and western zone. If successful, you might see PayTM’s vinyl advertisements on certain passenger trains. Following PayTM’s footsteps other companies like - JCDecaux India, Media on Track and TDI International India are also trying to hunt space on passenger trains. Through advertising, Indian railways is also trying to increase its non-fare revenue. It is also planning to expand its centralized network of installed screens across 2,175 stations to provide more space for advertisement.
