AMRITSAR: Various farmer and labourer unions in the state have announced to block rail traffic on Wednesday to lodge their protest against the Union Budget. Jamhuri Kisan Sabha leader Rattan Singh Randhawa said they would block the rail traffic from 1 pm to 3 pm on Wednesday in an attempt to highlight their demands. He said the Budget failed to deliver anything new for the agriculture sector, adding that Rs 500 crore for diversification was not enough. | ||
