New Delhi: Citizens of Delhi today got some respite from cold as people were seen soaking the sun at India Gate and outside the government offices during lunch time. The minimum temperature was recorded at 2.4 degree Celsius, slightly better than previous day’s 1.9 degree Celsius, the season’s lowest so far.The maximum was, meanwhile, registered at 13.4 degree Celsius, seven degrees below normal and up from yesterday’s 11.8 deg Celsius.Fog and icy winds made the morning chilly. Conditions improved as the day progressed with fog giving way to a clear sky, but icy winds blew throughout the day.Rail and air traffic were also disrupted. Fog affected the schedule of over 30 domestic and international flights at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here.Humidity oscillated between 55 and 100 per cent. The MeT predicted mainly clear skies for tomorrow with fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperature would be around 13 and three deg C respectively, it added. | ||
