JAIPUR: With eight lakh youths appearing for police constable exams on Sunday, railway stations, bus stands, roadside joints, and dhabas remained chock-a-block across the state. One aspirant going for the exam in Udaipur was killed while another sustained injuries as two bikes collided.The heavy rush that started from the morning was seen at the Jaipur railway station, central bus stand and other parts of the city. All the buses were flooded with the aspirants.In spite of the north western railways (NWR) running at least half-a-dozen special trains for exams, the capacity was not enough as every reserved compartment was filled to the brim.At several places including Ajmer, Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Dausa the candidates were seen traveling on the roofs of trains even though the Railway Protection Force(RPF) and Government Railway Police(GRP) tried their best to discourage them from doing so.The unruly youths travelled on the roofs of the buses, as in most of the cases, the concerned authorities remained mute spectators.Besides the buses and trains, the rush and commotion was also witnessed at roadside dhabas, outside railway stations and bus stands with the candidates forming a massive crowd.According to police sources, exams were held for 9,000 constable posts across the state."At almost 495 examination centres in the city, the exams went off peacefully in which about 1 lakh candidates participated," said a senior officer of the Jaipur police commissionerate.

In the evening, there were rumours that the examination paper was leaked. However, senior police officers claimed that no examination paper had been leaked as some of the youths were selling some question papers claiming to be genuine.

"We have arrested four youths at the Mahesh Nagar police station for allegedly cheating the aspirants. They were selling some papers claiming to be genuine paper. They were found selling the papers to the aspirants by claiming that they were providing original examination papers. We have booked them on the charges of cheating," said an officer with the Mahesh Nagar police station.

However in Udaipur, out of the two aspirants going for the constable exam, one was killed while another got injured. "Two bikes collided head on near Keware ki Naal village of the district. The deceased was identified as Vishal (22) while the other Gaurav(22) was seriously injured," said a police officer.
