DARJEELING: Three Darjeeling Police officials and the relatives of the Nepali girl, who had jumped off a moving train on Thursday in Ara district to escape a molestation bid, left for Bihar on Friday.The girl, according to the Darjeeling Police, is in serious condition but is out of life threatening situation, presently.She had jumped off the Delhi-bound Brahamputra Mail between Bihta and Ara stations."We have sent an officer and two constables, including a female constable, to Bihar to bring the injured woman back. They are accompanied by the father and brother of the victim," said Darjeeling SP Kunal Agarwal.Police said the victim lives on the fringes of Darjeeling town and was on her way to Delhi in search of a job. "We have learnt from her family members that she had gone to Delhi in search of a job," the SP said. Quoting the father of the girl,They said that the girl had travelled to Delhi before. "Her father said that she was accustomed to travelling to Delhi alone," he said.The 30-year-old girl is a divorcee and has two sons aged five and 13. and is from a financially weak background.Police informed that the girl had been staying with her parents after separation from her husband a few years ago and was staying with her parentsAccording to police, they have already spoken to the girl and came to know about her ordeal. "Though the language was a problem, the victim managed to inform the Bihar Police that she was from Darjeeling and thus our counterparts from Bihar informed us. We spoke to the girl in Nepali and got to know about her family," Agarwal said. | ||
