Three metro stations in and around Connaught Place in Delhi will close early on Monday in view of security reasons ahead of the New Year celebrations, said reports.Rajiv Chowk, Barakhamba Road and Patel Chowk stations will shut down at 7.30pm.Selling of tickets at these stations will stop at 7.15pm.However, people can change lines at Rajiv Chowk station even after 7.30pm.Other metro stations will function normally till the usual time of 11pm, around which time the service stops.Ten metro stations around India Gate and Raisina Hill have been out of bounds for citizens for several days in the past couple of weeks owing to the anti-gang rape protests.
