Several trains, including the Shatabdi Express were delayed for around one hour following damage to railway tracks between Bhadbhada and Diwanganj railway stations under Bhopal section on Friday afternoon.Soon after the damaged tracks came to notice, railway officials stopped the down line trains, including Shatabdi Express for over an hour. Trains later left for their destinations after repair work was completed.Regarding the delay of trains, Bhopal Railway division Public Relations Officer (PRO) KK Dubey said he did not have any information about damage to railway tracks under Bhopal section and he was also ignorant about the delay of trains due to this problem.However, Dubey stated that the cause behind the delay would be investigated. According to sources, the Shatabdi Express left from Bhopal railway station at the right time at 2:40 pm.Later, it was halted abruptly at the Sukhi Sewania railway station. Railway employees said that tracks had broken down near the Diwanganj railway station due to which the train was halted.

After around an hour, when the tracks were repaired, the train could leave for their respective destinations. Due to the track breakdown, around five trains got delayed, including a freight train at Nishatpura, Kushinagar Express at Bhopal railway station, LTT-Amritsar Express between Bhopal and Habibganj railway stations and two freight trains at the same spot.

Train number 12001 Shatabdi Express was running late by around two hours behind schedule.
