Over the previous year Corruption complaints against various government departments jumped by a whopping 67 per cent over the previous year in which Railway tops the list. Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) said as many as 11,000 complaints were received against the public sector. A total of 49,847 complaints were received in 2016 which is 67% more from the previous year when 29,838 complaints were received. Against railway 11,200 complaints were filed of these 8,852 were disposed of and 2,348 were pending. As many as 6,513 complaints of alleged corruption were received against employees under Home Ministry. |
