Its Diwali time for railways, seats are full on regular trains, weekly trains and in special trains too. What is left then? Suvidha special as they have flexi fares that amounts to very high tariff. It will be very hard to find a seat these days if you want to travel from Delhi or Mumbai towards UP and Bihar. Railway says they are jammed pack and there will no more introduction of new special trains. There are 35 trains between Lucknow and Delhi that connects these two places daily but such is the condition that one will be unable to find seat at all in any train. Immediately after durga pooja railway has witnessed a surge in passenger’s traffic. Even in tatkal you have seconds to book your ticket else you will be unable to secure a seat. Few trains such as Lucknow mail is witnessing a waiting list of upto 500 in sleeper for 28 October while in shatabdi a whopping 400. The biggest problem for passengers is that once Diwali will be over, again there will rush for return journey. |
