Southern Railway is doing major engineering work at Arakkonam yard in order to make significant improvements. This has affected many trains for limited period of time along with the 3 mentioned passenger trains below -

  • Train number 56042 Puducherry – Tirupati passenger train departing Puducherry at 01:20 PM on May 1 will run via Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Katpadi, Melpakkam and Tiruttani.
  • Train number 56001 Chennai Central - Arakkonam Passenger departing Chennai Central at 01:10 on May 1 will remain fully cancelled.
  • Train number 56004 Chengalpattu – Arakkonam passenger train departing Chengalpattu at 08:25 PM on May 1 will remain fully cancelled.
