Western Railway has installed 161 Water Vending Machines (WVMs) on all its six divisions to make portable RO processed drinking water available easily. Out of these 161 WVMs 20 are installed over Mumbai Suburban section. Western Railway also plans to install 37 more such machines in the section. All these machines are installed by IRCTC as per Railway Board policy guidelines. As many as 321 machines have been sanctioned out of which 166 has been received till date and 161 have been commissioned. | ||
