The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Railway Police has arrested a man who, along with two accomplices, is allegedly behind several thefts aboard outstation trains. LCB officers identified the accused as Mahender Singh (40) of Sultanpuri, Delhi."The accused would sport crew cuts and formal clothes, resembling plainclothes policemen, and engage travellers in conversation as they were lining up to alight at their stations. The third suspect would open the bags of their targets and steal whatever he could," said senior inspector Nisaar Sheikh.Singh was brought to Mumbai on Tuesday. He has been remanded in police custody and a hunt is on for his accomplices. | ||
