Mandya, Nov. 17- A possible mishap was averted this morning, thanks to the alertness of the loco-pilot of Bangalore-bound Chamundi Express.

The Chamundi Express train, which left the city Railway Station at 6.45 am, reached Mandya at about 7.40 am. As the train left Mandya, the loco-pilot, who slowed down the train as it approached a bridge at Hebbal on the outskirts of Mandya city, noticed a minor fault on the track and brought the train to a halt.

The train headed towards Bangalore after the track repair, which took about 20 minutes.
