The East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) hosted a Bal Utsav at the Community Hall at Rail Vihar here recently for the encouragement of railway employees’ children.ECoRWWO president Ratna Ghosh said that apart from the welfare of railway staff and their family members, the ECoRWWO has also undertaken the responsibility of carrying out disaster relief activities and has been working towards improving the standard of living of poor, elderly men and women, physically-challenged, spastic children and the other needy people.The Bal Utsav would help to build a platform to expose the inherent qualities of the children of railway employees, she said.Ghosh also distributed prizes to the outstanding children who participated in different competitions. About 300 children took part in different competitions. | ||
