Rae  Bareli: The process of giving employment to those who had given their land for Railway Coach Factory in Lalganj, Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, has started.Ms Gandhi is likely to handover appointment letters to the beneficiaries during her visit to her constituency next month.

As many as 235 people out of 1467 families, who had given their lands, have been sent to Lucknow for medical exmainations before the appointment, the official sources said. The authentification of the applications was in the process and all those who were appointed would be adjusted in group 'D' of Lucknow divsision of Northern Railway, they said.

It also raises hopes of an early formal inauguration of RCF which was pending since last one year. The factory was to be inaugurated last year but Ms gandhi had refused to do so before the jobs to the locals were given.

The railway ministry had to make amends in the rules to give jobs in the Lalganj Rail Coach Factory. The process would be completed in the next two months.
