Passengers planning to travel by train on the Mumbai- Delhi route will have one more option to choose from, as Western Railway is all set to start special Rajdhani train on this route from January 26, 2013.

According to a senior Western Railway official, the train will start its journey from Mumbai Central railway station at around 3:30 pm and will follow the same route as followed by the other two Rajdhani trains on this route and will reach New Delhi railway station next morning at 7:30 am approximately. On it return journey, the train will leave from New Delhi at 2.30 pm and arrive in Mumbai at around 7 am the following day."

With this new service on the Mumbai-Delhi route, Western Railway hopes to eliminate the waiting list for this class of trains running on this route.
