To clear the winter rush of passengers, Eastern Railway will run winter special trains this year including Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Special, Asansol – Viishakhapattanam Weekly Special and Sealdah – Puri Weekly Special from 22 to 29 December, 2012. Among them, 03059 Up, Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Special will leave Howrah at 11.55 p m on every Saturday, Monday and Friday from 22 to 28 December, 2012. On the downward direction, 03060 Down New Jalpaiguri – Howrah Special will leave New Jalpaiguri at 12.45 hrs. (noon) on every Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday from 23 to 29 December, 2012. 03513 Up Asansol – Vishakhapattanam Weekly Special will leave Asansol at 12.45 hrs. (noon) on 28 December, 2012 (Friday) and on return journey, this train will leave Vishakhapattanam at 6.35 a m on 29 December, 2012 (Saturday). 03101 Up Sealdah – Puri Weekly Special will leave Sealdah at 12.35 hrs. (noon) on 23 December, 2012 (Sunday) and on the down direction this special will leave Puri at 11.35 p m on the same day i.e. 23 December, 2012 (Sunday). These special trains will have both Air-Conditioned and non-Air-Conditioned Sleeper Classes. Booking in 03059 Up Howrah – New Jalpaiguri Special will be available from 21 December, 2012, and other two (2) special trains i.e. 03101 Up and 03513 Up will be opened from 22 December, 2012 on up direction only.
