South Central Railway conducted the 27th Pension Adalat today (17th December, 2012) at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad. Shri Mahesh Chandra, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway was the Chief Guest o­n the occasion.Head Quarters and Divisions opened Adalat counters at their respective places to settlegrievances of pensioners.
Speaking o­n the occasion, Shri Mahesh Chandra, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway said that a total of 719 cases / grievances were received from railway pensioners for redressal, out of which 591 cases were disposed offat the Penson Adalats and an amount of Rs. 55, 56, 830/- was paid to the pensioners. He assured the pensioners that Smart Card for medical treatment will be issuedsooner.
Shri Gopinath, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, SC Railway, while addressing the gathering, appealed to the staff to be very friendly with the retired employees and solve their problem expeditiously. Shri Seshasayi, Chief Personnel Officer South Central Railway informed that all required data will be collected and the pending Revised Pension Pay Orders will issued as soon as possible.
Shri Venkatraman, President, Retired Railway Officers Association (Retired Director, Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering & Telecommunication and Shri Y.P. Sastry, President, All India Retired Railwaymen Federataion also spoke o­n the occasion.
