Traffic on the Konkan route was disrupted for several hours after the engine of train number 22150 Pune-Ernakulam superfast express derailed between Ratnagiri and Adoli stations in Maharashtra in the wee hours of Thursday as huge boulders fell on it.The engine derailed as emergency brakes were applied after heavy boulders fell on the moving train around 3 a.m., Railway sources in Madgaon told The Hindu over phone. The train returned to Ratnagiri and resumed its journey around 9 a.m. Several trains to and from Kerala on the Konkan route had been stranded in various stations on the route, they said. | ||
