A 14-year-old boy from Chhattisgarh, who left his house seven months ago and reached here accidentally by train, was restored to his parents on Thursday, thanks to the sustained efforts of ‘Saranaalayam’, being run by the Roman Catholic missionaries at Tirunelveli Junction to take care of orphan children and destitute women.According to Rev. Fr. Motcharajan, Director of ‘Saranaalayam’, 14-year old Dinesh, who was found wandering near Tirunelveli Railway Junction, was rescued by the members of Child Line seven months ago. As he was not able to tell his address and was speaking only Hindi, he was kept at ‘Saranaalayam’.Meanwhile, the photographs of Dinesh were sent to the Child Line in all States including Chhattisgarh. Even as efforts were on to trace the native place of Dinesh, ‘Saranaalayam’ received a call from Somni police station of Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh.“The police officer who spoke to me informed that Dinesh, who did not want to go to school, left his parents Tulsiram Adil and Gitabai Adil of Baigatola village and took the train to reach Tirunelveli.Following this , we managed to contact Dinesh’s parents,” said Rev. Fr. Motcharajan. On being informed by the police, Mr. Tulsiram and Ms. Gitabai came to ‘Saranaalayam’ on Thursday and took their son along with them in the Bilaspur Express Train after profusely thanking the ‘Saranaalayam’. | ||
