Ahmedabad: The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Western Railway, whose house and office were raided by CBI on Saturday, was taken to Bhopal for further interrogation. A case has also been registered against him under the Prohibition Act at Shahibaug police station.Disproportionate assets worth Rs 15 crore were also seized by CBI. A team of Anti Corruption Bureau of the Central Bureau of Investigation had raided the house and office of Rakesh Bahl, DRM, Western Railway, on Saturday morning. Sources close to the development said that the raid which started at 7.30 am continued till Sunday afternoon. Two different teams had cordoned off both the places.The CBI had reportedly found 40 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), 1 kg of gold, US dollars as well as Rs80 lakh in Indian currency from his house.According to sources, the premises were raided on the basis of a complaint received by the CBI office (Bhopal). Bahl was posted in Bhopal before he was transferred to Ahmedabad in March 2011. He was posted earlier in Jabalpur and Delhi. Sources familiar with the development said that his three bank lockers have been sealed by the CBI and will be checked soon. | ||
