The Railways has extended the list of prescribed proofs of identity.Photo identity cards with serial numbers issued by public sector undertakings (PSU), state and Union governments, district, municipal and panchayat administrations have been included in the list of proofs prescribed by the railway.However, the existing provision of the tatkal scheme where the passengers are required to show the same original proof of identity as indicated on the ticket will continue,” officials said. | ||
