Title - ‘Tatkal' waiting list passengers to get first preference now

The South Central Railway (SCR) on Monday announced that for allotment of vacant berths, preference would be given to ‘Tatkal' waiting list passengers over general waiting list passengers with immediate effect. The SCR in a release informed that Railways had modified the rules regarding allotment of vacant berths in additional coaches being attached on day-to-day requirement basis.Accordingly, when an extra coach is attached to a particular train to clear rush of wait-listed passengers, vacant berths available in the extra coach shall be first offered to ‘Tatkal' waiting list passengers of that class.
