Men travelling on the Delhi Metro railway better note which door they are putting their foot into or they may just be slapped with a hefty fine.In a joint operation dubbed “Majnu” conducted on Tuesday by the Central Industrial Security Force, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the Delhi Metro Rail Police, 45 males travelling in the women’s compartment had to shell out Rs.250 each as penalty. The joint team surveyed various metro stations such as Chandni Chowk, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Yamuna Bank, Jangpura and Inderlok.“At Kanhaiya Nagar, a boy was fined an extra Rs.500 for picking a fight with the officials,” said a CISF spokesperson. |
