While addressing the meeting of division rail users’ advisory committee Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) Rajeev Chaudhary said the construction of platform number six of Bhopal railway station will be completed by March 2013.At the meeting of the committee convened here on Tuesday, Chaudhary said travelletors and Double-decker racks will be installed on the platform number six of Bhopal railway station in the next financial year after which the platform will start operating. Besides, two lifts will be also installed in Bhopal and Itarsi railway station each.Chaudhary further said Bhopal, Habibganj, Itarsi, Guna, Ashoknagar, Bina and Vidisha railway stations of the Bhopal rail divisions are being cleaned by special machines for the convenience of the passengers. In the 59 railway stations of the division, Unreserved Ticket System (UTS) and in 13 stations Unreserved Ticket cum Reservation System (UTS-cum-PRS) has been started.Chaudhary further informed that the gross income of the division is `677.36 crore for this year which is 46 per cent more than the division’s income than in the last financial year. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mandeep Singh Bhatia informed about the achievements of the division in the meeting. In the meeting, members put forth their suggestions and demands. Rajesh Dave demanded starting of Shatabdi Express from Habibganj railway station, Ajaykant Mundra demanded Ramganjmandi to Bhopal railway line construction work should be started from Bhopal, halt of Ajmer-Kolkata Express at Shajapur railway station and Khushal (Sachin) Silawat demanded drinking water facility in the passenger trains and complaint book in the trains.Earlier, the Scouts and Guides children welcomed the members. In the meeting, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordinator) Manish Gupta, Senior Division Operations Manager Vijendra Kumar, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunications Engineer Shailesh Khandelwal, Senior Rail Mechanical Engineer N Vishwlal and other senior railway officers were also present. |
