Title - Yesvantpur-Tirunelveli special trains to clear extra rush for Onam

Southern Railway will run Garib Rath Yesvantpur-Tirunelveli-Yesvantpur specials to clear extra rush in connection with Onam.A statement issued here on Saturday said that Train No. 06515 Yesvantpur–Tirunelveli Special would leave Yesvantpur at 9 p.m. on August 20 and 22 and arrive Tirunelveli at 9.40 a.m. the next day.Train No. Tirunelveli–Yesvantpur Special would leave Tirunelveli at 2.45 p.m. on August 21 and 23 and arrive Yesvantpur (Bangalore) at 4 a.m. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 16 AC 3-tier and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains would stop at Banaswadi, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Vanchi Maniyachchi.Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on Sunday.

Temporary stoppage at Veerani Aloor

In connection with the ‘Bakrid’ festival, the following trains would be provided temporary stoppage at Veerani Aloor for one minute as per the following schedule.-Train No. 16723 Chennai Egmore–Thiruvananthapuram Express would depart from Veerani Aloor at 9.50 a.m. on October 26. Train No. 16724 Thiruvananthapuram–Chennai Egmore Express would leave the station at 5.23 p.m. on October 29.

Sunday pattern of working

The computerised passenger reservation centres over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry regions of Southern Railway would function for one shift, similar to Sunday pattern of working (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.), on August 20 (Monday) on account of Ramzan, the statement said.
