Title - Woman falls off train, dies fighting thief trying to snatch her bag

On Sunday near Old Delhi Railway station a 40 year old woman died after she fell of a moving train. She was resisting a snatching bid that took her life according to police.

The woman was accompanying her son to help him find accommodation who recently enrolled Delhi University.

Woman and his son boarded Yoga Express from Rajasthan and were standing near door in one of the compartments. Train slowed down near a station when a thief tried to snatch her bag. Woman tried to fight him off during which she lost her balance and fell down on tracks. During her fall she came under wheels of the trains and got injured severely.

Her son tried to save her from fall but it was too late for him. Later she died on the way to hospital while thief fled with bag containing cash, documents and an ATM card.
