Title - Video enquiry kiosk opened

A remote video enquiry kiosk was inaugurated at Guntur Railway Station by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) N.K. Prasad on Wednesday. It enables passengers arriving at the station from Arundelpet side to interact with the on-duty enquiry clerk at east terminal through a push button on the kiosk set up alongside the booking counters at west terminal at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh.The kiosk, which facilitates audio-visual interaction, was set up by Signals and Telecommunications (S&T) Department.It comprises Internet Protocol (IP)-based digital cameras and phones aided by a dedicated optical fibre network.
