Title - Veg meal only on Indian Railways for 3 yerrs on October 2

To celebrate 150th anniversary of Gandhi Jayanti as a 'Vegetarian Day' a blueprint has been prepared by Indian Railways. According to the proposal, no non-vegetarian food will be served to passengers any-where on railway premises across the country on October 2. The proposal also says that, this practice will be followed for 3 consecutive years.

In the circular railway board specifically mentions that, "October 2, 2018, 2019, 2020 can be celebrated as a totally vegetarian day when no non-vegetarian food will be served anywhere on Indian Railways' premises. All the railway staff will be requested to observe October 2 as Vegetarian Day."

Note that October 2 is also celebrated as Rashtriya Swachhta Diwas.
