Title - Two drunk Passengers on Goa – Janshatabdi assaulted TTE

Two drunk passengers boarded an AC coach at Thane with general tickets. When a railway head ticket examiner confronted them to go back to general class, these two passengers assaulted TTE who suffered shoulder dislocation.

Umesh Ambre, 38 and Anu Koityan, 30 both residents of Kalwa abused and assaulted allegedly Prakash Sawant on duty TTE when he sought to see their tickets. Panvel GRP has arrested both accused passengers.

TTE immediately alerted his seniors who approached GRO and RPF for help. GRP caught both the passengers at Panvel.

They have been booked under IPC sections 332, 334 and 353 for assault on a public servant to prevent him discharging of his duty besides Prohibition Act sections 85 (1) and (2) for a disorderly behaviour under the influence of alcohol. The accused were released on bail the next day.
