CHANDIGARH : The people of Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa can now look forward to a shorter and better road connection to the Millennium City.The Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Sunday laid foundation stone of Meham-Kalanaur Road at Meham today. The ten meter broad and 19 kilometer long road link would cost Rs 29 Crore and is likely to be completed in time span of one year.This road would not only benefit the people of Meham and Kalanaur but a large part of the state. Four laning of Hisar-Rohtak road would begin soon. He disclosed that he was trying hard for early start of Hansi-Meham-Rohatk rail line and its foundation stone would soon be got laid by inviting Union railway minister, the Rohtak MP said.Referring to the Fatehabad-New Delhi Shatabadi, Hooda reiterated that government is making efforts and he is personally taking up the case with Raliway ministry.Notably, with laying of 19 kilometer stretch, the locals will be able to save time. As on now the residents from Rohtak are reaching Gurgaon via New Delhi by taking Peeragarhi, Dwarka route for entering Gurgaon. The stretch will also facilitate the traders from Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar and some belts of Rajasthan. |
