Refund status of cancelled tickets can now be monitored in real time by passengers. Railway Ministry has launched a website that allows passengers to monitor their cancelled ticket status in real time by simply logging in.

"refund.indianrail.gov.in" is the website where a passenger can get real time access of their refund status by simply entering their PNR.

According to railway, "Transparency was the main parameter in providing this system."

The website has been developed by the Centre For Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and will show the status of refunds for tickets bought at ticket counters as well as online.
