Mystery continues to shroud the cause of fire in the ill-fated Tamil Nadu express that claimed 32 lives on Monday even as the investigators doubled their efforts to come to a conclusion on what could have started the fire in the S11 bogie.Though the AP Forensic Science Laboratories (APFSL) team ruled out the possibility of sabotage on Tuesday, they were unable to ascertain whether any inflammable material was being transported in the compartment. More samples were collected by the APFSL team on Wednesday from the compartment for examination and the final report will be filed over the next few days. The forensic team has collected the samples in 13 gunny bags which will be shifted to Hyderabad for further investigation. The railway police sources said the probe is being carried out in all possible angles but they suspected that some passengers were carrying kerosene or crackers without knowing about the impending danger. "If that is the case, action will be initiated against railway authorities for allowing the passengers to carry inflammable materials," sources said.Further, the Railway Safety Commission members also arrived at Nellore and examined the charred compartment stationed at the railway station. They will attend the public hearing to be held on Thursday and Friday, where eye-witnesses, victims, public and officials will provide information to the commission which is inquiring into the mishap. |
