A sum of Rs. 1.22 lakh was collected as excess fare and penalty during a ticket-checking drive in the Palakkad railway division, mainly on the Kannur-Kozhikode and Shoranur-Nilambur Road sections, on Friday. As many as 353 cases were registered during the drive carried out by 21 ticket-checking staff and assisted by Railway Protection Force personnel, a railway release said. — Special Correspondent |
