Title - Three women run over by train

Three women, including a mother and her daughter, were run over by an express train near Jhalda railway station in Purulia district today, railway sources said.

Bhutni Rajak (45), her daughter Panchami Rajak (20) and their neighbour Niyoti Rajak (50) were killed when the 18604 Bhagalpur-Hatia Vananchal Express ran over them at around 6.30 am, the sources said.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ranchi, Gajanand Maliya, said the railways would give a compensation of Rs two lakh to the next of the kin of the victims.
