Railway authorities are not ruling out foul play in Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Express train accident occurred in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. The accident left 41 people dead and is a third major accident in a span of two months. The latest accident has cause a major worry between railway authorities who are already probing suspected ISI-Naxal involvement in the derailment of Indore – Patna Express that left 151 people dead. Also one of the accused arrested by Bihar police confessed to ISI involvement behind the accidents. According to a rail official, “The area is known to be a naxal affected zone and there was a call for shahid Divas celebration.” He also said that, “a good trains passed at 10:05PM on the same track followed by a patrol team that inspected tracks at 10:40PM; after which another train passed through same spot at 10:52AM. The accident occurred at 11:15PM.” The train driver and guard also heard a big cracker like sound just before the derailment without any huge jerk. DRM Chandrlekha Mukherjee also said we are not ruling out any possibility especially when it was found that the shape of the breakage was not regular. |
