Title - Tax officials seize mobiles being smuggled in train

Abohar: Officials of the sales tax department have seized a large number of Chinese mobile phones while intercepting some passengers who arrived here by Udyan Abha Toofan express from Delhi.The team led by ETO Ram Dass and inspector Vishal Khurana nabbed Rockey Upveja, Chhinderpal Singh of Arniwala, Ashwani Khurana of Fazilka, Dharminder Kumar and Bharat Kumar and imposed Rs 80,000 as fine on them.Inquiries revealed that the shopkeepers earn more than 200 per cent of profit on the sale of Chinese phones that are smuggled through different routes without paying any tax.
