Title - SWR'S DRIVE AGAINST TICKETLESS TRAVELLERS

Mysore, Apr. 27- Continuing with its drive to eliminate ticketless and other forms of irregular travel, the South Western Railway (SWR), Mysore Division conducted a 'fortress' check at Mysore Railway Station on Apr. 25 involving a squad of 27 ticket checking staff and 11 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.

A total of 150 cases were registered and Rs.50,290 was realised as fines.

Dr. Anup Dayanand Sadhu, Sr.Divisional Commercial Manager, SWR, has appealed the travelling public that since ticketless travel was a social evil and a drain on the exchequer of the nation, everyone must buy/possess proper travel authority before entering Railway premises and trains.

He has warned that the offenders would be penalised and also prosecuted
