Title - Stops for trains in Kasaragod sought

P. Karunakaran, MP, has asked Southern Railway to provide stoppage for Rajadhani Express and other trains in the district.Mr. Karunakaran submitted a memorandum to Additional General Manager G. Narayanan, who was here to attend an official function, seeking stoppage of Okha-Ernakulam Express and Gandhidam-Nagercoil Express at Kanhangad.The MP also demanded stoppage of Parasuram Express at Charvathur, and halt at Neeleswaram for Mangalore-Coimbatore-Mangalore Inter City Express.Mr. Karunakaran urged the Railways to set up more ticket counters in Kanhangad and Kasaragod stations to reduce the peak-hour rush.Kasaragod Railway Passengers Association president R. Prashant sought stoppage at Kasaragod for the Coimbatore-Bikaner and Dadar-Kochuveli Weekly Expresses, scheduled to be launched shortly.
